First and foremost, I apolgize for not being able to write in Hungarian. Although I am proud to be a Hungarian citizen, I left the country in 1948 and have completely forgotten the language of my ancestors. The Hungarian parts of this website were kindly posted and translated by His Excellency Dr. Gyorgy Busztin, ambassador of Hungary to Indonesia and his son, Gabor, who also set up this web site.

 My work is with Papuans who live on the island of New Guinea, in the western half of the island, the section which forms a part of the Republic of Indonesia. I work with the wood carvings of the Kamoro tribe, promoting and selling them to help to keep alive the wood carving tradition and to help them economically. The carvers keep all the money form sales with nothing cut for myself or any other middlemen.
